Tatuaje Cigars are one of the newest micro-brands to hit it big in the cigar world. “Tatuaje” means tattoo in Spanish. These cigars are blended as a partnership between “Tattoo” Pete Johnson and the cigar master himself, Don Pepin Garcia.
The Tatuaje Petite Tatuaje Reserva, Petite Cazadores Reserva, and 7th Reserva are all rolled by Jaime Garcia at the My Father Cigars Factory in Nicaragua using the same binder and filler as the Miami line but this time with a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper.
Despite being blended by Don Pepin, this cigar is slightly less flavorful than we've come to expect from him, but perhaps that is exactly what Pete Johnson was looking for. Judging by how many of these we sell, Pete's on the right track.
