Rocky Patel is arguably one of the biggest names in the cigar industry today. Yet, it has not always been that way. In his first career as an attorney, Rocky was an LA product liability and entertainment lawyer. A friend introduced him to cigars, and he instantly fell in love with them. As one of the founding members of the famous Grand Havana Club in Los Angeles, he came across some investment opportunities. When one of those investments allowed him the opportunity to manufacture cigars, he was a little anxious, but the finished product was a success.
Rocky later founded the Indian Tabac Cigar Co in 1996, and that brand took off with a jolt, mainly due to the brightly colored and flashy packaging. Now, under the label that bears his name, Rocky is one of the hardest working men in the industry. He maintains a relentless travel schedule between retail locations and his home and headquarters located in Naples, FL. He credits his time on the road as helping him to stay in touch with the end users of his products and to bring them exactly the cigar they want at a price-point they can afford to smoke time and time again.
