Perdomo 2 Natural Robusto Cigars
Perdomo is a brand that has lasted through the boom era of cigars mainly due to their amazingly made and great tasting cigars, and the Perdomo 2 Limited Edition 2008 Natural Robusto is just another example of the company's craftsmanship. Originally released in 1999, then re-released as a limited edition in 2008, this cigar was too good to only make in a small supply and is now a regular production stick despite the LE name and banding. This fine example of what Nicaraguan tobacco should be is a puro, meaning that every part of this cigar, from the filler to the binder, is from the country. Every bit a medium-to-full-bodied smoke, this may not be for those who prefer milder smokes, but those that love this profile with fall head-over-heels with this stick.
Against the dark sheen of the wrapper, Perdomo 2's yellow band is striking. The pre-light aroma holds that characteristic sweetness which cigars from this country are known for. Upon lighting, a blast of pepper warms your mouth, but quickly subsides to wonderful notes of earth and cedar. Every puff you take will make you want to quickly have another, but take it slow and relax with this fine cigar.
The Perdomo 2 Limited Edition 2008 Natural Robusto is a great cigar to introduce people to how great Nicaraguan cigars can be. While not the best stick for the morning due to its full bodied nature, after a nice meal, this is a great stick to sit back with and let the day melt away with each puff. For a milder choice we would also recommend the Perdomo Champagne.
