Gurkha chairman Kaizad Hansotia is nothing if not concerned with the happiness and wellbeing of his customers, and when the people want big cigars by the gods are they going to get big cigars. The pricey Titan line was already a fan favorite when Hansotia decided to broaden its horizons and so he simply added an extra dose of 5-year-old and cedar-aged Columbian, Dominican, and Honduran tobacco beneath the cigar’s Nicaraguan binder and jet-black Costa Rican Maduro wrapper until it was nearly bursting at the barely visible seams.
Unlike some Gurkha cigars where it can be difficult to determine exactly which blend you’re holding because of the similar bands, the Titan proudly and boldly declares its moniker on a silver embossed second band above a small sleeve of cedar. Of course, the size and heft of the vitola itself along with its dark chocolate color and aroma makes identification a no-brainer. Also a matter of no debate is just how much flavor and smoke Titan is capable of producing. Toasty at the start with mocha, cedar, and stone fruit soon after, the cigar finishes clean and dead center of medium-full.
With a boxed price in the hundreds of dollars, you may have planned on hiding these in your deepest humidor and breaking them out only for those once in a lifetime events.
