The Fonseca Cubano Exclusivo is a wonderful blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos bound in a Dominican leaf and wrapped in a smooth Dominican Havana Vuelta Arriba wrapper. This cigar starts off firmly as a medium bodied smoke, but inches just slightly higher the more you smoke. Notes of the earth, wood, and pepper greet you and play off each other throughout the entire cigar. The final third brings more pepper to the forefront and downplays the other complexities but never drowns them out.
If you have disregarded Fonseca before because you thought they were too mild a smoke for you, this is the cigar to try. Much more evenly flavored and bodied than anything from the fabled brand's past, the Cubano Exclusivo is a perfect medium-bodied stick.
